Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Slides with Slider Design, Four Cameras and 10 GB RAM

Rumors and leaks about Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 have sprung up recently and now the company has officially launched the smartphone. This flagship smartphone comes with several cool features such as magnetic sliders to bring up a selfie camera, powerful hardware and many more.

This smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch wide screen type AMOLED with FHD + resolution and the company claims that the screen-to-body ratio of this smartphone reaches 93.4%. On the back there is a magnetic slider which will bring up a 24MP + 2MP dual-camera setup when needed. The camera's main sensor uses a Sony IMX576 sensor which the company claims can reach a 1.8μm pixel size with 4-pixel binning in a low-light environment. The effective resolution is reduced to 6 MP in these conditions.

As for the dual-camera setup on the back it consists of a 12MP + 12MP sensor, where the main sensor uses a Sony IMX363 sensor with a 1.4µm pixel size and an f / 1.8 lens, while a secondary telephoto camera has an aperture of f / 2.4 and a pixel size of 1, 0µm.

Xiaomi presents professional camera capabilities on this smartphone, where you are allowed to take hand-held long exposure shots, which are similar to the Night Mode capabilities of the Huawei P20 Pro. Not only that, even Xiaomi also compares the photos of each smartphone when the conditions are less light.

In addition, we will also get the AI scene recognition feature on this smartphone. According to the company's CEO, Lei Jun, this smartphone also has a 960 fps slow-motion feature with automatic background music, which is assisted by an AI machine. For the kitchen, this smartphone relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and several memory configurations are available. There is a choice of 6GB, 8GB and 10GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage options. Unfortunately there is no microSD slot or 3.5mm audio jack. But you get fast cable charging via the USB-C port and 10W wireless charging.

In addition, Mi Mix 3 will also get a 5G version, although the model will come in the first quarter of 2019. Currently, Xiaomi has confirmed that Europe will accept the 5G variant, but has not mentioned other markets.

This smartphone is available in three color choices, namely Jade Green, Sapphire Blue, and Onyx Black. The price for the 6GB / 128GB variant is CNY3,299 (IDR7.1 million), for the 8GB / 128GB model CNY3,599 (IDR7,8 million), while 8GB / 256GB is CNY3,999 (IDR 8,7 million). All versions will be equipped with a 10W wireless charger included in the retail package as well as a protective box. While the 10GB RAM variant will come in a different color and will be priced at CNY4,999 (Rp10 million).
